The editorial board realizes a policy of an immediate open access to the published content, supporting the principles of a free distribution of scientific information and a global exchange of knowledge for the sake of tolerance and the development of interstate and international relations.

In the journal analyzes the important problems of interstate and inter-ethnic Ukrainian-Polish relations; are actualized the problems of overcoming historical stereotypes and the formation of a new quality of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation at the level of states and societies in the context of geopolitical changes of the late XX ‑ beginning of the XXI centuries.

Review of manuscripts by the editors of the collection is carried out to maintain high scientific and theoretical level of publication. The collection has two-sided anonymous reviewing system:

- personal data of the author (authors) is not disclosed to reviewer;

- personal data of reviewer is not disclosed to author (authors).

Publications are primarily controlled to verify correctness of their technical design according to requirements of the collection. The primary expertise is carried out by chief editor and members of the editorial staff. All articles are verified by the editorial staff using "Advego Plagiatus" (program for searching non-unique content and determining percentage of similarity of text document with others on the Internet).

After conducting of primary expertise, chief editor appoints the reviewer from the members of editorial staff, who is a specialist in the specific problematic. In the case of absence of a specialist on the problematic of an article among members of editorial staff, chief editor appoints an external reviewer.

Reviewers (both those who are the members of editorial staff and external ones) should be well-known experts on the subject of the reviewed article and have publications on relevant problematic during last 3 years.

After expert review, the reviewer can:

- recommend the article for publication;

- recommend the article for publication after revision;

- not recommend the article for publication.

If the reviewer recommends the article for publication after revision or not recommend the article for publication, the reasons for such decision should be presented at the review.

During reviewing of scientific article, reviewer is required to:

-pay attention to the topicality of examined problem;

-characterize theoretical and / or applied significance of the research;

- evaluate how the author's conclusions relate to existing scientific concepts;

- evaluate author's personal contribution to solution of examined problems;

-indicate accordance of style, logic and accessibility of the scientific material, to conclude on the reliability and validity of author’s conclusions.

In the case of existence of sufficient reasons, articles may be redirected to additional reviews. Reasons for additional review may be next:

- reviewer’s insufficiently qualification in the field of problematic presented at the article;

- controversial character of materials, presented at the article.

Editors send a copy of the review (without specifying the reviewer) or motivated rejection to the author (authors) of the publication.

Editorial Ethics:

Editorial staff follows the standards of editorial ethics, which comply with international ethical rules for publication of scientific works.

Editorial staff asserts that during publication of the collection there was no place for abuse (unfairness) in relations between all participants in the publishing process: authors, editors and reviewers.

Ethics rules for authors:

- to work in full accordance with the editorial policy of the collection, taking into account actual legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.;

- to provide reliable results of work performed for the original research and objective presentation of its significance;

- do not publish materials dedicated to the same research at more than one magazine as the original publication;

- to guarantee full originality of presented materials. In case of use of works or theses of other authors to provide relevant bibliographic references or quotes;

- to follow the rules of self-citation, namely: if the elements of the material were previously published at another article, the author must to refer to earlier work and to indicate the essential difference between new work and the previous one;

- to prevent plagiarism in any form;

- to ensure that materials submitted for publication do not violate copyrights.

Ethics rules for editors:

- to work in full accordance with the editorial policy of the collection, taking into account actual legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.;

- to consider materials sent to the publication in the shortest terms,;

- do not discriminate during evaluation of materials sent by the authors;

- to respect intellectual property of the authors;

- do not violate requirement for anonymous review (do not disclose to the authors personal data of reviewers, and do not disclose to the reviewers personal data of authors);

- do not disclose without necessity information about submitted materials, with the exception of reviewers, potential reviewers or scientific advisers;

- to take measures to detect and prevent publication of research materials that were obtained through violation of scientific ethics;

- in the case if the author of manuscript submitted to publication is the editor himself to transfer responsibility and editor's rights relating to this publication to another qualified person;

- to be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, refutations and apologies, if it is necessary.

Ethics rules for reviewers:

- to work in full accordance with the editorial policy of the collection, taking into account actual legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.;

- do not use unpublished data received from materials received for expertise, in personal research without written permission from author (authors);

- to follow the terms of review;

- to notify the editorial staff and ask for exclusion from the review process if the reviewer understands own insufficient qualification to review the publication or absence of sufficient time for well timed execution of the work;

- to consider any material received for review as a confidential document, not disclose its contents and not discuss it with any persons other than members of editorial staff who sent material for the review;

- to give an objective evaluation of materials sent for review, to express their opinion clearly and reasonably;

- to find a significant coincidences between reviewed publication and any other previously published scientific work, to express their opinion according to acceptability of the material for publication in terms of scientific ethics.

The authors published in this journal agree with following conditions:

1. The authors reserve to themselves the right to the authorship of their works and transfer the right of their first publication to the journal on the terms of Creatіve Common Attrіbutіon Lіcense which allows to freely extend to other persons the published work with an obligatory reference to the authors of the original work and its first publication in this journal.

2. The authors have the right to complete independent additional agreements concerning the not exclusive distribution of their work in the form in which it was published in this journal (for example, to place the work in the electronic storehouse of an establishment or to publish as a monograph component), under the condition of the preservation of the reference to the first publication of the work in this journal.

The collection presents current issues on the history of Ukraine and Poland, geopolitics in Central and Eastern Europe.

We accept previously unpublished scientific articles, publications of documents and memos, bibliographic and source studies reviews, reviews of new publications, reports of scientific events.

The editorial board will not consider articles that do not meet these requirements.

The editorial board has the right to edit, shorten and reject the submitted materials. The contents of the publication, the accuracy of the facts, quotations, dates, etc. are the responsibility of the author.

All articles that have been edited undergo an independent secret peer review process (research quality, originality, novelty, article structure).
