Уперше в українській історіографії розглянуто
діяльність Музею імені князя Василька в Теребовлі у 1930-х роках.
Акцентовано увагу на археологічній і музейницькій діяльності відомого художника
С. Борачка та його внеску в історію українського музейництва заходу України.
Простежено наукову комунікацію установи з відомим українським археологом Я. Пастернаком, залучення музею до українських музейних з’їздів і проблеми із
затвердженням статуту. До наукового обігу введено колекцію світлин з архіву
відділу археології Інституту українознавства ім. І. Крип’якевича
НАН України, які демонструють археологічну колекцію установи.
The activities of the Prince Vasylko Museum
in Terebovlia in the 1930s are considered for the first time in Ukrainian
historiography. The focus is on the archaeological and museum activities of the
famous artist S. Borachok and his contribution to the history of Ukrainian
museum work in the West of Ukraine. The scientific communication of the
institution with the famous Ukrainian archaeologist Ya. Pasternak, the
museum's involvement into Ukrainian museum congresses and problems with
approving the statute of the museum are traced. A collection of photographs
from the archive of the Department of Archaeology of the I. Krypiakevych
Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the NAS of Ukraine, which demonstrate the
archaeological collection of the institution, has been introduced into
scientific circulation.
